55/26    POLICE REPORT

To note 4 crimes were listed in Mill Lane for February 2026. 3 of violence and sexual offences and one other.

 

56/26    CLERK and ADMIN SUPPORT REPORT

            To receive a report on matters not on the agenda including:

                        Clerks report attached which contains info on the bus shelters.

57/26    FINANCE

  • To receive an update on financial matters and receive the year end bank reconciliation.
  • To consider and approve the following invoices:

M Warr – salary for April - £362.40

C Glenn – salary for April – £68.90

HMRC – March PAYE - £109.40

                      LALC – annual subs - £195.00

                      BBC – footway lighting - £1409.98

            To note the first half of the precept (minus the footway lighting) - £6406.02 was received on 17/04/26

 

Insurance – to consider renewals costs for renewal due on 1st June. Three companies were contacted, Gallagher declined to quote as the council under the minimum premium.

Clear Councils quoted £600/700

Zurich (current provider) £296.16, unfortunately they are not offering any long term agreements.

 

Donations – to consider the donation requests from All Saints Church towards a new notice board and Goodfellowship Bowls Club (deferred from last month)

 

58/26    COMMUNITY SPEED WATCH

To receive a report from the meeting with Graeme Butler from Community Speedwatch and consider and agree the areas for surveying (4 required).

            To receive any update on the transfer of the cemeteries to the Parish Council.

  • To consider registering the land opposite the Village Hall.
  • To consider siting the bus shelter near All Saints Church, following community comments

 EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC To resolve, in accordance with Section 1(2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 that the public be excluded from the meeting during the following item of business, as it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during this item there would be disclosure to them of exempt information within Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, and further that in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information, for the reasons set out in the report.
