MINUTES OF FOSDYKE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD VIA ZOOM ON TUESDAY MARCH 2nd, 2021

92/20 Public Forum

No members of the public were present.

 

93/20 Receipts of Declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the localism Act 2011

None were received.

 

94/20 Apologies for absence and the reasons given

Apologies were received from the Police.

 

95/20 Draft Minutes of the meeting held on February 2nd, 2021 to be approved as the minutes

It was proposed by Cllr. Houssain seconded by Cllr. Heathcote that the minutes be signed.

 

96/20 Matters Arising

Cllr. C. Cropley reported that potholes have been repaired, repairs to the pothole near Ullyatt’s have been scheduled.

Flooding in the garden in Bell Lane has been reported on fix my street, the council will be updated when the work is scheduled.

 

97/20 Matters for the Police

There were no matters for the Police.

 

98/20 Correspondence

Cllr. E. Poll – LCC (via email) update on the Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC’s) from 8th March residents able to take recycling, garden waste on any opening day. Appointments still need to be made.

LALC – Annual Training scheme

Action to be discussed at the April Meeting

Nat – West Current Account balance at 05/02/21 £10,355.26

A Resident by email

Regarding the positioning of the dog bin on the corner of Whitecrossgate and Bell Lane

Cllr. M. Brookes response from Highway’s manager to the resident’s request to relocate the dog waste bin including a copy of correspondence from and to the resident

The matter was discussed thoroughly again.  The Clerk reported that she and Becky Shinn from the Borough had walked the area and had discussed if there were any more possibilities.  As the matter has been discussed many times it was agreed by all members that the matter was not progressing, and nothing could be achieved by more discussion. The matter was agreed unanimously.

Action a letter be set to Mr. & Mrs Martin explaining the Councils decision

 

99/20 Financial Matters – cheques paid, and monies received from Feb. 2nd, 2021.

02/03/2021                 00345              Staff costs                    £652.50

It was proposed and seconded that the payment be made.

 

100/20 Donations

It was proposed and seconded that the following donations be made.

£500.00 Fosdyke Playing Field Committee

£500.00 to the Village Hall Committee

£50.00 to the Samaritans, The Citizens Advice, Cruse Bereavement, The Butterfly Hospice Trust, Sutterton Surgery Patients Participation fund and Sutterton Food Bank

 

101/20 Notice Board

Due to the present travel restrictions, the item will be carried forward.

 

102/20 Fosdyke Parish Council Face Book page

Cllr. Houssain advised that the page is successful and asked if it is possible to post items from the Borough.

 

103/20 Purchasing a Lap-top

Eurotech innovations has supplied a price for a lap-top of £490.00 which includes office and the set-up charges.

Action the Clerk to contact Eurotech Innovations and ask them to supply

 

104/20 Matters Raised by Councillors

Cllr. C. Cropley reported the rubbish bin near the Notice Board is rotting at the bottom.

Cllr. Howden asked if its ok to replace some of the dog fouling

g notices.

Cllr. Howden asked about the Horse sign on Wash Road

Action the Clerk to look into the position.

 

As the meeting was going into closed session Cllr’s Brookes and Cooper left the meeting at approx. 8.35pm

 

105/20 To discuss the Clerk’s Salary and hours

Action it was proposed by Cllr. C. Cropley seconded by Cllr. Howden that the Clerk’s hours be increased to 3.5hrs per week and that she receives a 5% pay rise.

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at approx. 20.45pm

 

The next meeting will be on Tuesday April 6th, 2021.
