MINUTES OF A MEETING OF FOSDYKE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY DECEMBER 6TH

Issues were raised about a business being run from a private dwelling

 

101/16 Apologies for absence and the reasons given.

Apologies were received from Cllr. Mrs. Wright and Cllr. Brookes LCC

103/16 The notes of the meeting held on November 1st were read and agreed it was proposed by Cllr.Glenn and seconded by Cllr. Pitt that they be recorded as the minutes.

CPSO Carson Davies reported no incidents have been reported since the last meeting. One family are causing unnecessary trouble,not stopping, throwing rubbish litter, and dogs running free. 

CPSO Carson Davies left the meeting.

107/16 Financial Matters

The list was issued to Cllr’s.

 

108/16 Speeding Issues

The speeding issues in the village were discussed it was suggested that a request be made to extend the 30mph speed limit to the Villa Farm roadway. The Clerk to make a request, the junction at White Cross Gate and Mill Lane to be reported to highways.

 

109/16 Draft Budget

The draft budget prepared by Cllr. Glenn was circulated and discussed. It was suggested that the normal grant paid to the Church would not be paid min 2017/18 as the Parish Council will now be responsible for maintaining the Churchyard. It was proposed and agreed that the figures as per the attached sheet be adopted as the 2017/18 budget. 

LCC have agreed that we can maintain the area outside of the Village Hall. The Parish Council are trying to obtain quotes for the cutting of the grass outside the village hall, including the 2 small pieces.

 

110/16 Boston Borough Council Transformation Programme – working with the Parishes. It was proposed by Cllr. Glenn and seconded by Cllr. C. Cropley that the Clerk signs the relevant form.

 

111/16 Items for discussion at a future meeting.

It was agreed to write a letter of thanks to John Ulyatt for his help by supplying the teleporter to decorate the Xmas tree, the decorations are to be removed on Jan. 7th 2017 It was reported that Geoff’s seat is in need of repair, Cllr. J. Cropley is to deal with the matter.

 

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at approx. 20.25pm the next meeting will be on January 3rd 2017 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall Committee Room
