Information given of a future event.

Vintage Tractor Road Run will be on the 19th of May 2024 it will be hosted at Fosdyke Social Club, the facilities will be open. A request has been made to have a poster on the FPC notice board to promote the event to the village and local businesses.

Repairs Enquiry

It has been reported to the Council that the Culvert located in Bell lane is collapsing. Cllr Brookes is aware, and it has been reported for repair.

Email enquiry

The Council were asked if the emails for the previous Clerk accessible from the FPC laptop. The Chairman responded that they are unrecoverable and inaccessible. The FPC laptop was barely used previously and was reset in December 2023 and re set for the new clerk, so this data is not available. The Chaiman stated that if we compare our parish council to Sutterton Parish council it may take up to a year to fully recover all previous relevant information. The Chairman asked for the patience of the residence during this transitional phase.

The Chairman responded by reassuring the room that all the Councillors are aware of their professional expectations. The Chairman also commented that he was not aware of this publication as we were again lead by the Clerk, however after looking into this, all Parish Councillors received a copy in the past.

Account Enquiry

Misc online accounts from last years accounts, a resident asked for these to be broken down and explain the Chairman went through each item on the misc accounts and this will be uploaded onto the website.

Cllr Cantwell said there will be a public meeting about Pylons with Matt Warman in Sutterton Village Hall on the 12th of February at 4.30pm

The Church wardens reported to Cllr Cantwell that a tree in the Church yard has fallen down and split. This has been cleared up and an invoice will be sent to FPC in the coming weeks.

It has been requested that a thank you letter should be sent to the local retired Dr Hughes who has served the local community for many years.

A local resident is going to set up a community social group in the village. They have asked FPC to support the group if the resident moves out of the village so that it may continue. This is being considered.

Cllr Hussain said the Facebook page has 187 visits and the FPC meeting notice was seen by 69 people.

 

23/79 MATTERS RAISED BY THE COUNCILLORS

Cllr Gratton C.Cropley and  Cllr Mowton attended the Outer Dowsing meeting. Outer Dowing are considering offering a benefit fund for communities that will be affected by works in their areas. Outer Dowsing wish to support local community projects and communities by way of a Community Benefit Fund figures for which will be available in early 2025.Eligabilbity will be considered on a variety of factors in the community such as Nature in the area STEM sustainability, local enterprises, community wellbeing. Group funding for areas with cables within 3km of them. Oter Dowsing will welcome idea in a meeting to be held in the summer of 2024. Cllr Cantwell agreed to work with and support the village to claim grants from Outer Dowsing. The Parish Councillors will circulate this information to the groups in the village of Fosdyke.

Cllr Hussain will investigate the upkeep of the Jubilee Gardens in the Village and the grass cutting in the village to ensure the village looks it’s best. A map of the grass to be cut in the village will need to be sourced.

Cllr Mowton Allotments 2022 income was £2102 in 2023 it was £1745. Cllr Mowton has requested that this amount for £429 is traced. He asked what the precept increase will be this year the Chairman responded that this will be 5% as was discussed in a previous meeting.

Cllr Cantwell reminded the room of the meeting about the Pylons in Sutterton Village Hall on the 12/2/24 at 4.30pm

The Chairman said that Geoff’s seat in the village is in need or a re varnish as it is looking tatty. Cllr C Cropley has agreed to paint it in the warmer months. Cllr Hussain has said the planters will also need a paint.

Present for the previous Clerk Mrs Depear, she will receive a Goblet and a Picture of the village in a frame.

The next Parish Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday the 5th of March 2024 at 19:30 PM in the Village Hall.
