Invitation to attend Ossian transmission stakeholder preview events between 2pm and 3pm on Wednesday 02 October and Thursday 03 October 2024
Please join us for one of two stakeholder preview events that are being held in advance of our forthcoming Ossian project information days.
These previews will be held on Wednesday 02 October and Thursday 03 October 2024 from 2pm to 3pm. You are very welcome to join us on either or both days.
Ossian is a proposed floating offshore wind farm, located off the east coast of Scotland, capable of delivering up to 3.6 GW of renewable energy. Once built, it will connect to new National Grid infrastructure near Spalding and near Alford in Lincolnshire.
To make these connections, we will be seeking consent to install subsea cables from the wind farm to a location on the Lincolnshire coast. From this point on cables will be installed underground, connecting into National Grid’s electrical system via new project converter stations.
The proposals are at an early development stage and to help shape and inform the project we would welcome the opportunity to hear your views. We therefore invite you to attend one, or both, of the stakeholder preview events we will hold ahead of our project information days. You will be able to meet our team, ask us questions and find out more.
The stakeholder preview events will be followed by project information days which are open to the public. We would be very grateful if you could pass on information to others who you feel may also be interested in these public events, so that they too have an opportunity to attend.
These will take place prior to the public drop-in sessions, as outlined below:
